Binance.US seeks $1B valuation in potential $100M funding round: Report

The crypto exchange is reportedly aiming for a private investment round of up to $100 million, which could valorize the company at a staggering $1 billion. According to a Thursday Bloomberg report, Binance.US is exploring expansion opportunities.
This potential valuation is notably lower than its $4.5 billion pre-money valuation in 2022 during a $200 million seed funding round. The company has reportedly reached out to World Liberty Financial, co-founded by former US President Donald Trump, regarding the funding, but they will not be participating.
This move comes in the aftermath of Binance Holdings Ltd.'s 2023 settlement with US authorities, where they agreed to pay $4.3 billion in penalties and face increased oversight.
