Bitcoin ETFs Sink into October Outflows
US spot Bitcoin ETFs ended October with $515 million in net withdrawals, while Ether funds posted a record $1.61 billion in monthly outflows. Investors pulled $643 million from US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs on Friday, marking the first negative month for these funds since June, according to SoSoValue.
The withdrawals followed Bitcoin's drop to $77,000 on Thursday and Binance's $6.3 billion hack confirmation. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) led Friday's outflows.
Similarly, US spot Ether ETFs saw a net withdrawal of $156 million on Friday, erasing any positive inflows for the year. October's total outflows for Ether funds reached a record $1.61 billion, surpassing the previous high of $1.42 billion in November 2025.
