The affected users will be notified via email, in-app messages, and/or push notifications regarding the next steps, deadlines, and arrangements for withdrawal. Users who have not received official notifications from Bitget are encouraged to continue using their accounts as usual.
The Bitget customer support team is available to assist with pending orders, withdrawals, and other account-related inquiries throughout the process. The exchange also advised users to be cautious of phishing links, impersonation accounts, and unverified information.
This announcement follows a security breach reported by Cointelegraph on September 25, where unauthorized transfers and temporary withdrawal suspensions were confirmed while the exchange investigated the breach, which resulted in approximately $388 million in stolen funds.
