Japan’s Remixpoint dumps altcoins, leaves 1,506 BTC as sole crypto bet

Remixpoint sold $5.5 million worth of ETH, SOL, XRP, and DOGE, booking a $736,000 net gain as it narrowed its crypto strategy to focus on Bitcoin.
- Remixpoint, one of Japan’s largest corporate Bitcoin holders, sold all its altcoins, leaving approximately 1,506 BTC (around $115 million) as its sole cryptocurrency holding.
- They sold Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, and Dogecoin (DOGE) for a combined 878.8 million yen ($5.5 million), generating a 117.8 million yen ($736,000) gain.
- The company recorded gains on its ETH, SOL, and XRP sales but sold DOGE at a loss of 3.26 million yen ($20,000).
- The sale was completed on Tuesday, and the gain will be booked in the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027.
Remixpoint’s altcoin holdings before the sale:
- 901 ETH
- 13,920 SOL
- 1.19 million XRP
- 2.8 million DOGE

Remixpoint considered market conditions, risk-return characteristics, and its financial strategy before deciding to sell the altcoins. The company aims to:

- “Improve capital efficiency”
Additional Income from Bitcoin Holdings:
Remixpoint has also been generating returns from its Bitcoin holdings, earning 14.92 BTC from lending between February 24 and August 31, valued at 164.2 million yen ($1 million).
