Nasdaq-listed Tron (TRON) has filed for a new at-the-market (ATM) share offering allowing it to sell up to $200 million of common stock to fund TRX acquisitions.
The deal, with Clear Street acting as agent, will allow Tron to periodically sell shares at $0.0001 par value, keeping a 3% commission on gross proceeds. The company already holds $237 million worth of TRX tokens through its existing accumulation program, which buys approximately $50,000 of TRX daily.
For context, Tron's shares opened 4.7% lower on Thursday, continuing their 67% year-to-date decline.
