VanEck Seeks Withdrawal Lido Staked Ether ETF

VanEck, the asset manager, has decided not to proceed with its proposed Lido staked Ether (stETH) exchange-traded fund (ETF). This comes after initially filing an S-1 registration statement for the ETF in October 2025.
In a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing on Wednesday, VanEck Digital Assets stated, "We do not intend to proceed with the planned distribution" of the trust's shares. The company did not provide a reason for the decision or indicate whether they would pursue a similar product in the future.
The proposed ETF would have held stETH, a liquid staking token, and aimed to accumulate staking rewards through its ownership.
Cointelegraph reached out to VanEck Digital Assets for further comment.
