An MEV bot known as “Yoink” front-ran an attacker attempting to exploit a custom Safe module, capturing the stolen rsETH before Kelp temporarily froze the receiving address.
Summary:
- An attacker exploited a custom module connected to an Ethereum Safe wallet to extract $7.7 million in rsETH.
- The funds were intercepted by an MEV bot (Yoink) that front-ran the attack.
- Yoink transferred about 18.93 ETH ($46,000) to a block builder address.
- Kelp, the protocol behind rsETH, paused the receiving address for 24 hours as a precautionary measure.
