BlackRock’s IBIT, its Bitcoin ETF, experienced its largest outflow since June on Monday, with investors pulling $405.3 million. This followed $398.6 million in net outflows from US spot Bitcoin ETFs in November, and $38 million in net outflows year-to-date in 2026.
"I wouldn’t interpret these outflows as a rejection of digital assets. Investors reduce exposure when uncertainty rises, particularly after an event that raises questions about the security of market infrastructure." - Edwin Mata, CEO of tokenization company Brickken
The outflows coincide with broader market volatility following the $6.3 billion Binance hack and Bitcoin's dip below $76,400 on Monday.
Cryptocurrency Market Trends:
- Bitcoin (BTC): $76,792.49 (-1.64%)
- Ethereum (ETH): $2,257.62 (-1.21%)
Other notable outflows include:
- Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC): $6.7 million
- US spot Ether (ETH) ETFs: $140 million (extending a six-day losing streak)
