Chainalysis Hit by Cybersecurity Incident

Blockchain analytics company Chainalysis suffered a cybersecurity incident, similar to recent attacks on other platforms. According to a blog post, some non-sensitive customer data, including user IDs, names, and email addresses, was exposed.

Chainalysis stated that they have engaged world-class third-party cybersecurity experts and are using large language models to review their security and strengthen their defenses. The incident is not related to the recent crypto theft at Binance.

As reported by Cointelegraph, Chainalysis recently mapped out a network of Russian intermediaries aiding North Korean IT workers in cashing out millions in cryptocurrency.

They also posted on X that suspected North Korea-linked hacks accounted for nearly 89% of reported crypto hack losses this year, a significant increase from 15% in 2021.
