In the world of cryptocurrency, a recent development has left many folks talking. Hackers have struck again, this time targeting the Telegram trading bot, Bloom, and making off with a substantial $953,000 in just 94 seconds.

According to blockchain analytics company Bitquery, the attack occurred when hackers exploited a vulnerability in the bot, draining funds from 48 wallets belonging to nine traders. Each drain was a Solana (SOL) transfer signed with the affected wallet's private key.

Bloom has since pledged to reimburse all affected traders in full, attributing the attack to a remote code execution vulnerability in a third-party module. They assured that no private keys had been accessed or compromised.

This incident highlights a recurring problem with trading bots: security risks. Even after traders stop using them, private keys can pose a lingering threat. Five wallets drained in this attack had been inactive on the bot since the first half of 2025.
