SECZ’s onchain market cap fell to $208.6 million as Circle-linked tokens reached a combined $383.6 million across several issuers in the $3.3 billion tokenized equities market.
- Token Terminal reports the value of SECZ tokens dropped from $430.4 million on Sept. 28 to $208.6 million by Sunday.
- SECZ tokens closed Friday down 2.1% at $7.80 apiece, with a market cap of $1.27 billion.
- Circle-linked tokens gained approximately 20% since Sept. 28, reaching $383.6 million.
The decline in SECZ tokenized stocks coincided with a sell-off in Securitize’s underlying shares on the NYSE, which reversed gains following the launch of its stock trading platform on Solana on Oct. 8. Citi downgraded SECZ from Buy to Neutral on Oct. 13 due to concerns about tokenization revenue.
Securitize facilitates blockchain tokenization for asset managers, including BlackRock. It listed its common shares onchain in July, becoming the largest tokenized equity at the time. Despite its size, Circle’s total market value is spread across various issuers, with Binance’s CRCLb on BNB Chain leading at $154.1 million.
